A screen save of the SketchUp model as I received it from Rumora Assoc. I added the dining room table, the arch, and a few details before selecting the best view from the model. Google SketchUp is a free download, and a very powerful 3D modeling program.

Existing conditions.

Line work, by me: sharpie on bumwad, photographed, printed out ready to color! This view taken from a Google SketchUp model by Anthony Pelino of Rumora Associates Architects L.L.C.

The final interior perspective colored pencil drawing.

Existing conditions. A beautiful rambling, eclectic, country stone house in the historic district of Upper Arlington, Ohio that backs up to the Scioto Country Club golf course.

The Linework. A critical, labor intensive stage of the watercolor process. In this case, I had the great fortune of working with my longtime friend and colleague, Mr. Lee Rumora, AIA, of Rumora Associates Architects L.L.C., of Columbus, Canal Winchester, Ashtabula and Cambridge, Ohio. Lee had Anthony Pelino, his associate, get the massing and perspective right using Google Sketchup.

The final watercolor. This painting was begun by SCAD student Callahan Pyrch and the final touches added by Edward Pyrch, a way cool father son effort.
